For Hiscox a FTSE 250 company providing speciality London Market & retail insurance products, I was promoted to Change Team Lead to support the management of Production Acceptance, Resource Management, Transition Management, and License Management activities of production applications because we had identified a trend in service interruptions introduced by projects. I as asked to specialising in transition work, were ‘Service Management’ changes impacted operational support levels. I focused on the set-up new technologies for applications, components, and platforms to introduce them into Operational Service for the application support team. Designing support according to preferred IT TOM (Target Operating Models) standards.Also to monitor the affected services post implementation to identify any gaps or issues. This made the difference and ensured we were able to deliver excellent service in production. I was responsible for supplying support documentation to the team, and vendors. After performing role, the service levels significantly improved by 30 - 35%, and service interruptions reduced to 1 per month.
